Directions: Take Hwy 58 south towards Oakridge. About 1 mile out of Oakridge, the Hills Creek Reservoir turnoff will appear. Take the turnoff and follow Forest Rd. 21 around the west side of the reservoir. After about 33 miles, the turn off to Forest Rd. 2154 comes into view. Take the turn off and follow it about 5 miles until it comes to the turn off for Forest Rd. 398/399. Follow the road about 1/2 mile to Timpanogas. From the south end of Timpanogas Lake campgrounds take the trail to Indigo Lake. It's about 1 1/2 miles long. From Indigo Lake, travel cross country 1 1/4 to the northeast, skirting a butte that comes from Sawtooth Mt. Don't lose any elevation because Amos & Andy Lakes are just slightly higher then Indigo Lake.
