Located between Jasper and Lowell, approximately 5 miles from Highway 58.

Many of the settlers to Fall Creek arrived with the Lost Wagon Train of 1853. Prior to the 1900s raising stock provided most of the money for Fall Creek residents but at the turn of the century, logging became increasingly important. In 1907, the Fall Creek and Winberry ranger stations were established. The Civilian Conservation Corps upgraded ranger stations, built trails and developed camps, throughout the 1930s.
Throughout the same decade, an attempt at mining proved to be unsuccessful. In 1965, the Fall Creek Reservoir was completed.

Today, there is still a country store in Fall Creek, which undoubtedly does well in the summer months with local traffic heading toward Fall Creek Reservoir, a popular boating and swimming destination. The area upstream from the Reservoir has cool cascading pools of water and huge, old growth Douglas Fir trees. A well developed hiking trail follows the river for miles.
