The community of Crescent Lake is located just north of its namesake lake, just east of the Willamette Pass, approximately 75 miles from Eugene, and provides commercial services for the pass area and the Eastern end of Highway 58. Early in the 1900's this community was a major railway siding, for the region.

Today, the Crescent Lake - Willamette Pass area, offers some of the best vacation/recreation activities in all of Oregon. At the Crescent lake junction you'll find several well stocked general stores, restaurants, gas stations and lodging. There is even a 3900' air-strip.

There are resorts at Crescent Lake, Odell Lake and many more along the Cascade Lakes Highway, which is easily accessible from this end of Highway 58. You'll find plenty of campgrounds and RV parking, close to all winter and summer sport as well as hunting and fishing, in season.

The angling offers opportunities for lake trout, rainbow and brown trout, kokanee salmon and mountain whitefish.

Nearby Waldo Lake is the second largest lake in Oregon and one of the purest in the world. On a calm day, the bottom of the lake is visible to a depth of 100 feet.

The nearby Willamette Pass Ski Area has cross-country trails and downhill skiing as well as snowboarding and tubing.
